Five college students banded together at Heungsadan, Seoul, on Tuesday (Feb. 7) to launch their trans-world motorbike expedition to in the world that Dokdo belongs to Korea.
The students will leave for San Francisco, California, on March 1 for an eight-month, 34,000 kilometer-journey covering 23 countries across Europe and Asia.
In the United States, they will visit Harvard, Yale and several other universities to launch activities, including campus seminars and street campaigns, designed to educate people that Dokdo, a group of rocky islets in the East Sea, is a Korean territory.
While in North America, the group will visit CNN, the U.S. news broadcaster, and Canadas Geocortex, a mapping service business, to ask them to correct their records that say Dokdo belongs to Japans Shimane Prefecture.
