PNT (People and Technology Inc., CEO Kim Joon-sup), a specialized manufacturer of secondary battery equipment d in Gumi, has donated KRW 20 million to the Community Chest of Korea to support neighbors in need.
The donation ceremony, held on January 14 (Tuesday), was attended by Yang Geum-hee, Deputy Governor for Economic Affairs of Gyeongsangbuk-do; Shin Soon-woo, Director of PNT’s R&D Center; and Son Byeong-il, Secretary General of the Community Chest of Korea, who joined to share their warm support for the cause.
PNT, headquartered in Gumi with factories in Chilgok and Gumi, primarily produces roll-to-roll (R2R) equipment for secondary batteries. As of 2023, the company reported KRW 536.1 billion in revenue and maintained 525 full-time employees, establishing itself as a mid-sized enterprise.
In addition, PNT is investing KRW 107.7 billion in a new 65,901 m2 (gross floor area: 20,599 m2) factory at Gumi National Industrial Complex 5 to produce cathode active materials and batteries for secondary cells. The project is expected to create 50 new jobs.
Deputy Governor Yang expressed her gratitude, stating, “We deeply appreciate PNT’s generous donation despite the challenging economic conditions.” She added, “Gyeongsangbuk-do will continue to provide all necessary support from the business perspective, ensuring a corporate-friendly environment.”
