- On August 14, the Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Government, Gumi Municipal Government, and KAMCO signed an agreement for the efficient bulk sale of their rights to jointly owned idle and erutilized national and public properties. The signing ceremony took place in the Main Conference Room of Gumi City Hall.
- The ceremony was attended by Head Lee Nam-eok of the New Consolidated Airport Investment Headquarters of Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Government, Director-General Kim Yeong-cheol of the Economy and Industry Bureau of the Gumi Municipal Government, and Director Kim Won-dae of KAMCO’s Daegu-Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters. This agreement was forged to increase the use of idle and erutilized national and public properties and contribute to the vitalization of the local economy.
- er the agreement, KAMCO will be entrusted with the bulk sale of their rights to jointly owned national and public properties, and the land to be sold is a 63,890.80 m2–large industrial lot located at 521-1, Bongsan-ri, Sandong-eup, Gumi City, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province. The land’s official appraisal value is KRW 11.954 billion, with the Korean Ministry of Economy and Finance holding 75% of the ownership shares, Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Government 12.5%, and Gumi Municipal Government 12.5%.
- KAMCO plans to sell the land through competitive bidding via Onbid (www.onbid.co.kr) starting from the end of August. The bidding will target “businesses intending to operate one of the 16 manufacturing industries (Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy Notice No. 2022-50) classified according to the Korean Standard Industrial Classification (KSIC) and designated in the basic management plan for the complex.
- “I hope that the national and public properties that were not utilized because of complex ownership relationships regain their value through this agreement,” said Kim of KAMCO, who attended the signing ceremony. He added, “KAMCO will continue to listen to people’s voices, and explore and expand ways to contribute to improving the utilization of national assets and revitalizing the local economy.”
- “I hope that companies signing sales contracts through this bidding will contribute to job creation and the revitalization of the local economy,” said Kim of the Gumi Municipal Government. He then remarked, “The Gumi Municipal Government vows to provide administrative and financial support for these companies’ investment and production activities.”
