PNT (People and Technology Inc.), a leading company d in Gumi, Gyeongsangbuk-do, visited the Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Office to participate in the rapid recovery efforts and aid for those affected by the unprecedented, large-scale wildfires.
On April 17, PNT (CEO Kim Joon-sup) donated KRW 100 million to the Community Chest of Korea, requesting that the fs be used to support victims who suddenly lost their loved ones and homes because of the fire.
The donation ceremony was attended by Yang Geum-hee, Deputy Governor for Economic Affairs of Gyeongsangbuk-do; Shin Soon-woo, Director of PNT’s R&D Center; Ji Yeon, Head of Strategic Planning; and Son Byeong-il, Secretary-General of the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea. The attendees shared their warm support for wildfire recovery efforts and expressed their sincere gratitude to PNT for its generous donation despite the difficult economic conditions.
Established in 2003, PNT has been growing steadily as a specialist in roll-to-roll equipment and other special-purpose machinery. In particular, the company is investing KRW 107.7 billion by 2026 to build a new factory at the Gumi National Industrial Complex 5 (site area: 65,901 m2; total floor area: 20,599 m2) as it expands into the cathode active material and lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery markets.
Yang Geum-hee, Deputy Governor for Economic Affairs of Gyeongsangbuk-do, said, “We are deeply grateful to CEO Kim Joon-sup and all PNT employees for participating in the wildfire damage recovery efforts following their donation for the erprivileged communities last January. We will ensure that your generous support is used meaningfully to help the residents recover and heal as soon as possible.”
