Novelis Korea Donates KRW 100 Million for Wildfire Recovery in Gyeongsangbuk-do

On Wednesday, April 9, Novelis Korea CEO Park Jong-hwa and other company executives visited the Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Office and donated KRW 100 million for wildfire recovery and support for displaced residents. The donation ceremony was attended by Vice Governor for Administrative Affairs Kim Hak-hong and officials from the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea.
The donated fs will be used to restore wildfire-affected areas and support residents who have lost their homes and livelihoods.
Novelis Korea, the Korean subsidiary of Novelis, the world’s leading aluminum rolling and recycling company, has been actively engaging in sustainable social contribution activities. Through this donation, the company emphasized its commitment to supporting disaster recovery efforts and providing tangible assistance to affected communities.
CEO Park Jong-hwa stated, “We decided to make this donation with the hope of offering even a small amount of support to affected residents of Gyeongsangbuk-do following the sudden wildfire.” He added, “We will continue to carry out various social contribution activities to grow and coexist with the local community.”
“We deeply appreciate Novelis Korea’s heartfelt generosity,” Vice Governor Kim Hak-hong said. “The donated fs will be used with great care to ensure the swift recovery of affected residents and support the region’s restoration.”
Meanwhile, Novelis Korea continues to practice environmental, social, and governance (ESG) management through various community service initiatives aimed at environmental protection and regional development.
