Kwon Jung-gap, Chairman of Stanford Hotel, Donates Relief Fs for Wildfire Recovery
- Chairman Kwon Jung-gap donates KRW 100 million for wildfire recovery and support for displaced residents -
On Tuesday, April 1, Gyeongsangbuk-do announced that Kwon Jung-cheon, Chairman of Heechang Trading Co., Ltd., visited the Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Office on behalf of Kwon Jung-gap, Chairman of the Stanford Hotel Group, and donated KRW 100 million to support wildfire recovery efforts and aid displaced residents. The donation ceremony was attended by Governor Lee Cheol-woo and officials from the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea.
The donated fs will be used to restore areas affected by the wildfire and support residents who have lost their homes.
Kwon Jung-gap, Chairman of the Stanford Hotel Group, stated, “We are donating this f as a gesture of comfort to the residents affected by the large-scale wildfire, hoping they can return to their daily lives as soon as possible. We also sincerely thank the public officials who worked tirelessly to extinguish the fire.”
Governor Lee Cheol-woo expressed his gratitude, saying, “Thank you sincerely for your warmhearted support and concern for the wildfire victims. We will do our utmost to restore the affected areas and support the displaced residents.”
Meanwhile, the Stanford Hotel Group began its hotel business in New York, United States, in 1986. It currently operates 10 hotels domestically and internationally, along with distribution and manufacturing businesses. In September 2024, the group ed and began operating Stanford Hotel Andong in the new city of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Office in Andong.
