Gyeongsangbuk-do Province held the “Gyeongsangbuk-do Investment Promotion Conference” on March 5 at the InterContinental Grand Seoul Parnas Hotel. The event brought together over 50 representatives from foreign companies operating in Korea and the Korea Foreign Company Association (FORCA) members.
During the conference, the province introduced its investment environment, highlighting its industrial clusters in secondary batteries, semiconductors, and automotive parts. It emphasized how Gyeongsangbuk-do offers an optimal ecosystem where companies can collaborate and create synergy through its erse industrial landscape.
Particular attention was given to the ㅇ, scheduled to in 2030. The province showcased the extensive expansion of transportation infrastructure, including new air routes, airways, and roads, because of the new airport’s construction, which will significantly enhance logistics, tourism, and service industries.
In addition, Gyeongsangbuk-do promoted the 2025 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit to be held in Gyeongju and the province’s investment fair. The local government called for strong interest and support to ensure a successful international event and attract more visitors and investors to the region.
Lee Nam-eok, Head of the New Consolidated Airport Investment Office of Gyeongsangbuk-do, stated, “Gyeongsangbuk-do offers a comprehensive one-stop administrative service for businesses, covering every stage—from industrial complex development and tenant support to subsidies and post-establishment assistance—making it truly a business-friendly region.” He added, “We ask for the active support of foreign companies in Korea to ensure the success of both the international event in Gyeongju and Gyeongsangbuk-do’s continuous growth as a hub for cutting-edge industries.”
